Founded in 1989, the American Association of Legal Nurse Consultants (AALNC) is a not for profit membership organization dedicated to the professional enhancement and growth of registered nurses practicing in the specialty of legal nurse consulting and to advancing this nursing specialty. AALNC provides networking opportunities, educational advancement, professional development and supports certification through the American Legal Nurse Consultant Certification Board (ALNCCB).

The American Association of Nurse Attorneys
Serves as a resource network and support group for nurse attorneys and educates the public on matters of nursing, health care, and the law.

American Association of Occupational Health Nurses
Professional association for registered nurses that provide on-the-job health care for the nation's workers. Contains membership, conference and educational information, job postings and discussion boards.

American College of Nurse Practitioners
The ACNP, located in Washington, DC, is a national, non-profit membership organization whose mission is to ensure a solid policy and regulatory foundation that enables Nurse Practitioners to continue providing accessible, high quality healthcare to the nation. ACNP's unique membership structure consisting of both individual nurse practitioners as well as national and state NP organizations unites the diverse practice specialties of NPs.

American Holistic Nurses Association
Organization seeks to provide vision, direction and leadership for the advancement of holistic nursing practice and to support the practice through education, research and standards.

American Psychiatric Nurses Association
Membership organization that provides leadership to promote psychiatric-mental health nursing, to improve mental health care for culturally diverse individuals, families, groups and communities and to shape health policy for the delivery of mental health services.

California Association for Nurse Practitioners
A statewide organization for Nurse Practitioners dedicated to enhancing the profession through education and improving the health care system through involvement in legislative issues.

Healthcare advocacy association boasting one of the country's largest memberships of registered nurses. The association supports its own government lobby and offers opportunities for networking and patient advocacy.

Case Management Society of America
An international, non-profit organization dedicated to the support and development of the profession of case management through educational forums, networking opportunities and legislative involvement.

Emergency Nurses Association
An international, action-oriented organization supporting the profession through access to important scientific information and the latest research; networking opportunities with key governmental, academic, and professional contacts; and monitoring of government activities affecting the profession.

Infusion Nurses Society
Organization dedicated to advancing the delivery of quality intravenous therapy through stringent standards of practice and professional ethics, and promoting research and education in the intravenous specialty.

International Association of Forensic Nurses
The International Association of Forensic Nurses (IAFN) is a non-profit membership organization comprised of forensic nurses working around the world and other professionals who support and compliment the work of forensic nursing. The mission of the IAFN is to provide leadership in forensic nursing practice by developing, promoting, and disseminating information internationally about forensic nursing science.

Massachusetts Nurses Association
Advances the nursing profession by fostering high standards of nursing practice, promoting the economic and general welfare of nurses in the workplace, and by lobbying the legislature and regulatory agencies on health care issues affecting nurses and the public.

National Association of Nurse Massage Therapists
A member-driven nursing organization founded for the purpose of promoting the practice, education, research, and regulatory interests of its members.

National Association of Orthopaedic Nurses
NAON is designed to promote the advancement and quality of orthopaedic healthcare. The organization is dedicated to educating its practitioners, promoting research in the field of musculoskeletal healthcare, and encouraging effective communication between orthopaedic nurses and groups with similar interests.

National Association of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners (NAPNAP)
Actively advocating children's healthcare, NAPNAP has provided opportunities, educated parents and families, and has been involved in beneficial legislative activities since 1973. Due to its successes, NAPNAP has seen aggressive membership growth in the past several years, and now includes about 70% of pediatric nurse practitioners in the nation.

National Association for Practical Nurse Education and Service, Inc.
Founded in 1941, NAPNES is the world's oldest nursing organization dedicated exclusively to promotion of quality nursing service through the practice of licensed practical nurses (LPN) and licensed vocational nurses (LVN). NAPNES is proud to be a multi-disciplinary organization of individuals, facilities, and schools that advocate the professional practice of practical and vocational nursing.

National Conference of Gerontological Nurse Practitioners

National Federation of License Practical Nurses, Inc.
NFLPN was founded to provide a structure at the national level through which licensed practical nurses and licensed vocational nurses could promote better patient care and to speak and act on behalf of the occupational group.
