NEW! Nurse Practitioner's Guide to Malpractice
Sharp increases in professional liability insurance premiums have triggered widespread concern for many healthcare professionals, including nurse practitioners. The number of filed lawsuits has escalated and jury awards have been greater in the past few years than ever before. Almost every NP has felt this impact.
For that reason, NSO has developed this comprehensive continuing education guide for nurse practitioners designed to:- Help you understand what behaviors increase your risk for malpractice allegations and how to avoid those behaviors;
- Educate you on how to protect yourself from malpractice by sharpening your skills in two key areas; and,
- Instruct you on the steps you need to take when responding to a malpractice lawsuit so you get through the suit with the smallest emotional and financial cost possible.
A 10% premium discount can be applied for the 6.0 AANP contact hours received for taking and passing the NSO risk management course, provided that the certificate of completion is presented to NSO by mail at 159 East County Line Road, Hatboro, PA 19040 or by fax at 800-758-3635. The course must have been taken within last 12 months in order for discount to be applied. Full-time individual NSO customers cannot combine this discount with any other discount. This includes discounts for part-time, new graduate, retired or leave of absence. These customers may still take the course for CE credit, but are not eligible for the 10% premium discount.
